The first wave of Battlefield 6 tweaks has quietly gone live, and you don’t even need to download a patch. Battlefield Studios (made up of DICE, Ripple Effect Studios, Criterion Games, and Motive Studios) confirmed that the changes were rolled out server-side earlier today.
Battlefield 6’s first live tweaks are out, no download needed. Here’s what changed and how players are already feeling the difference.
Here’s what’s been adjusted so far in Battlefield 6:
- Rush mode now has 100 tickets on some maps instead of 75.
- The M2010 ESR’s muzzle velocity dropped from 900 to 800 m/s.
- The PSR’s velocity went from 750 to 720 m/s.
- Shotguns now factor in projectile drag.

It’s a small but important start for a live-service shooter that’s already off to a strong launch. Battlefield 6 has been smashing player records on Steam and earning praise across the board, but players have been quick to ask for more balance tweaks. The devs say this is just the beginning.
Meanwhile, over on Reddit, reports are coming in that Battlefield 6’s anti-cheat measures are finally hitting hard. Players using Cronus Zen devices are getting permabanned, and the creators of the device have even told users to stop using it “for now.”
Looks like Battlefield Studios isn’t messing around this time.
