Assassin’s Creed Shadows has passed 5 million players. That’s up from 3 million in March. Players have made 2 billion stealth kills, travelled 1 billion kilometres, and petted 38 million animals.
But Ubisoft’s Q1 2025 results missed targets. The main reason was Rainbow Six Siege.
Yves Guillemot said Siege X got strong feedback. But a pricing bug hurt player spending. The issue is fixed, but it hit revenue.

Two other reasons: a delayed deal now coming in Q2, and bad exchange rates.
Ubisoft is pushing ahead with “Creative Houses”. These teams will lead major franchises. The first one covers Rainbow Six, Far Cry, and Assassin’s Creed. It’s led by Christopher Derennes and Guillemot’s son.
Shadows DLC coming soon
The Assassin’s Creed Shadows DLC Claws of Awaji is set for fiscal Q2. It adds 10+ hours of content, new skills, and a new weapon.
Leaks point to a September release. If true, an official date should be coming soon.
