I love games; horrors and puzzle/strategy are my favourite genres but I enjoy playing pretty much anything. I still believe a good story is important and shouldn't play second fiddle to the multiplayer experience unless via a co-op campaign. I also enjoy watching football, supporting the mighty Liverpool, as well as drinking tea and petting my kittens.

After taking last week off to enjoy the festivities on show at Insomnia 61, I’m back again with my favourite snippets devs have shared with the world for #ScreenshotSaturday.

First up this week we have Velocity Ragea racing game that is very similar to Burnout both in terms of graphics and the idea that you have to take out your opposition. The main difference being instead of just shunting cars off the road, you get an arsenal in which to obliterate your opponents with; using everything from machine guns to rocket launchers. The latest #ScreenshotSaturday from the developers of this beauty shows off their improved UI and control systems, making it easier to target and monitor your opponents.

Next up we have a small clip from the developers of Planet Alpha, an adventure game that takes place on an alien planet. It’s not about the gameplay for this one though, it’s all about the beauty of the art work and the scenery the developers have created. So enjoy this little Whale Safari.

And finally, we have a screenshot from COLUMNAE: A Past Under Construction by Moonburnt Studio, a non-linear point and click adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic steampunk world. This particular scene reminded me somewhat of the cartoon Salad Fingers, and so I couldn’t help but include it after it reminded me of the hilariously creepy character.

And that sums up this weeks article. Hopefully, you didn’t miss us too much while we were away, but in case you did, you’ll be happy to know that we’ll be back at our regular spot every Sunday, so we’ll see you next week.
