We <3 Indies

#ScreenshotSaturday favourites

It’s Sunday again and I’m still sat in the same space on the couch recovering from the surgery I had on Wednesday. Since I can’t do too much else, I thought I may as well crack on with this week’s #ScreenshotSaturday favourites.

First up we have a fun looking mobile game called Will Hero that is coming to Android and iOS worldwide. Developed by Gameplar, this side-scrolling platformer see’s the hero looking to save a Princess from trouble whilst having to jerk, evade and attack his way through the many levels. Although not available right now, it can be pre-ordered on the app store HERE.

Next up we have an action game with tower defence elements called Holy Shift. In their latest update on the game, they’ve released footage showing the animations of rocks breaking and falling following some explosions. What I particularly like about this though is the attention to detail at how even the trees in the background environment move in reaction to the explosions.

Our final inclusion this week is the game Tent, which focuses on experience and story. In this clip, the developer has been working with Unity Timeline and Cinemachine to trigger events in the scene and adjust the camera dynamically. Is it just me, or could this be that scene from Bambi where his mum dies from the eyes of the hunter? Either way, it’s some really beautiful artwork that has gone into the game environment.

And that is us finished for the week. You’ll see more from us tomorrow, including a new giveaway for a great looking indie title on PC, so make sure you remember to come back and check it out.
