PLAY Expo Manchester is almost here!

PLAY Expo Manchester returns in just under THREE WEEKS! Replay Events biggest show takes place on 4th – 5th May at its new home  The Manchester Central Exhibition Centre. Tickets are on sale and are selling out fast so don’t delay!

As you’d expect from PLAY Expo there will be a multitude of guests, features and exhibitors lined up for this year’s event – check out some of the stuff below for news about some of the things happening at this year’s exhibition.

Confirmed: Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith, the creator of Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy, will be joining the event for a post-screening audience Q&A, hosted by Retro Gamer magazine regulars Paul Drury and Martyn Carroll.

The event will also include a ‘Best Jet Set Willy mod’ award and a quiz with some very special prizes. Make sure to join to celebrate the 35th birthday of this most beloved of 8-bit games!

Space Harrier Deluxe

Sega’s first electro-mechanical motion cabinet is coming to Manchester; jet powered laser gun your way through robots, mammoths, dragons and more in this fan-favourite classic cab.

Knightmare Live plus Special Guests

Replay Events are incredibly excited to announce that Hugo Myatt will be joining PLAY Expo Manchester

Hugo played the Dungeon Master Treguard in Knightmare throughout its entire run between 1987 & 1994, with Treguard being the only recurring character to appear in every single one of the 112 episodes.

To coincide with bringing Knightmare Live to PLAY Expo Manchester, event organisers thought it’d be a perfect opportunity to bring along Treguard himself to take part in their Knightmare TV Show Panel with other guests from the TV series. And he’ll also be making an appearance in the stage show itself!

And if this wasn’t enough, you’ll be able to get a professional photo taken with Hugo in his full Treguard costume over the weekend.

Dark Room Returns

John Robertson is bringing his critically acclaimed show The Dark Room back to PLAY Expo Manchester! The show was a huge hit at PLAY Expo Manchester 2017 so we’re bringing the show back for those of you who missed it, or those of you who wish to take part again!
