Konami and EFootball.Pro Announce Winners of the Fourth EFootball.Pro League Matchday

Concluding the fourth eFootball.Pro League Matchday, held in Barcelona last weekend, Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has today announced details of the club who emerged victorious.

The fourth eFootball.Pro League Matchday ended with a victory for Celtic FC over AS Monaco, sending the Scottish team of E_C_Oneill and INDOMINATOR through to the Finals.

The second match of Matchday 4 was contested between Boavista FC and Schalke 04 and ended in a long-awaited victory for the Portuguese team. A last-minute goal from Christopher led Boavista to victory in game 1 while a comeback win in game 2 secured Boavista’s first victory points of the competition.

The last match of the day was contested between FC Barcelona and FC Nantes and ended in a victory for Barcelona, securing their passage to the Finals. The Catalans swept Nantes aside, winning both games comfortably (2-1 and 3-1).

Following these results, Barcelona sit top of the group, with the same points as Celtic FC but ahead on their head-to-head record. One point separates AS Monaco, Boavista FC and FC Schalke 04 while FC Nantes remain rooted to the bottom of the table with 2 points.

The following fixtures for the fifth Matchday have been officially announced: FC Barcelona vs AS Monaco, FC Nantes vs Boavista FC, and Celtic FC vs FC Schalke 04. The fifth Matchday is set for Saturday, April 13th.

Played on KONAMI’s PES 2019, the eFootball.Pro League is the first global esports tournament designed exclusively for professional football clubs to determine the No.1 esports football team. The world’s top PES 2019 players, such as Spain’s Alex Alguacil who won KONAMI’s official PES LEAGUE WORLD TOUR 2018 in CO-OP, have been signed by each club to represent them.

The Regular Season has three matches per month starting from December 2018 through to April 2019, with the top three teams advancing to the Finals in Barcelona in May. The bottom three teams will then head to the Last Chance Group where the winner will go through to the Finals.

Matches for the Regular Season will take place at Highvideo Studios in Barcelona.
