It’s the weekend which means it is time for me to relax, play games and watch football. It also means it is time for our weekend Gaming News roundup.

PES arrives to beat FIFA into submission

That’s right, the one true football game has returned this week and it’s here to take the footballing crown from FIFA. Over the past few years, Konami has brought PES on leaps and bounds and this year could be the one in which it triumph’s above its competitor.

Best of all this year (for me anyway), there is a special Liverpool FC edition with the likes of Fowler, Gerrard, Owen, and Rush available to select in myClub Legends. Here’s the video showing them all off because well I’m a Liverpool fan:

The game, which is developed by General Interactive Co. is set to launch out of Early Access on September 20th for Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux! So be sure to check it out if you fancy yourself as a bit of a wine head.

King’s Knight – Wrath of the Dark Dragon arrives on mobile

Some of you may remember King’s Knight from the NES back in 1986. If so, then you’re in for a serious nostalgia trip as Square Enix has brought a new version of the 8-bit scrolling shooter to Android and iOS devices.

This modern version features a brand-new story and a world where players must defeat enemies while simultaneously destroying obstacles in their path. The game includes more than 100 new quests, dozens of new obstacles, enemies and traps, job elements and co-op multiplayer support for up to four players. Fans and a new generation of players will be challenged by a level of difficulty that remains true to the original game.

King’s Knight –Wrath of the Dark Dragon is now available as a free download on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android Devices.

Minecraft Story Mode S2E3 trailer released

It’s getting to the halfway stage of the season now and in anticipation of episode three’s release, Telltale Games, and Mojang have released a new trailer:

The latest episode, entitled Jailhouse Block, will be available to download on all the usual devices on September 19th.

And that is all we have for you today. If after this you still go with FIFA  over PES then I’m afraid we can’t be friends. We’ll be back on Wednesday with more news.
