I love games; horrors and puzzle/strategy are my favourite genres but I enjoy playing pretty much anything. I still believe a good story is important and shouldn't play second fiddle to the multiplayer experience unless via a co-op campaign. I also enjoy watching football, supporting the mighty Liverpool, as well as drinking tea and petting my kittens.

It’s been a mega heatwave this weekend, to the point I almost couldn’t do this article as it was just too hot indoors. Then I realised thanks to WiFi I could sit outdoors under an umbrella and enjoy a nice cool breeze with an ice cold beer while I work on this piece. So, join me in doing inside things outside and check out this week’s #ScreenshotSaturday favourites.

First up this week we have LeeJee Games who have been working away on a space background for their game Blasting Maniacs. It’s amazing to see how much work goes into just a simple thing like a background image.

The next inclusion we have for you is from Planet Alpha, an adventure game that takes place in a living alien world. The game looks absolutely stunning and we’re loving the 2.5D layered graphics style, especially that funky looking fog in the background. If you want to learn more about the game and the developers behind it, you can visit their website HERE.

The final game we found to share with you guys is Caveblazers by Rupeck Games. The developers have been working on a really cool dynamic split screen system that changes the further you move away from the person you’re playing alongside. Do you think it works? Let them know by following them on Twitter.

That’s all we have time for unfortunately but come by again next week to see some more awesome work from the indie dev world.
