I love games; horrors and puzzle/strategy are my favourite genres but I enjoy playing pretty much anything. I still believe a good story is important and shouldn't play second fiddle to the multiplayer experience unless via a co-op campaign. I also enjoy watching football, supporting the mighty Liverpool, as well as drinking tea and petting my kittens.

If you’re a fan of the type of game where you run around a small map, hacking and slashing your way through hundreds of enemies, then we have some news you may just be interested in. Koei Tecmo has today released their new game Dragon Quest Heroes II on the PS4 (it’s also available on Steam too).

Think of it as a more child-friendly version of their Dynasty Warrior games, with artwork being a little more cartoony and bad guys bordering on the line of cute. The game mechanics are very much the same, with attack combos working in the same way, although instead of massive swords and pikes, there is more of an emphasis on magic abilities and one girl who uses maracas to defeat her enemies (I’ve no idea how that works either).

Here’s the release trailer for you to feast your eyes on and hopefully help you decide whether this game may be your cup of tea:
