After announcing a new game mode not too long ago, it was announced today by Bandai Namco Entertainment that the definitive edition of Divinity: Orginal Sin 2 would be coming to the Xbox Game Preview program. It arrives in just a couple of days, May 16th to be exact, and the preview version available will give players full access to the games first three hours for free. That three hours only counts for those playing along with the story though as the entire first act can be unlocked which equates to around 20 hours of adventuring. And best of all, anyone who enjoys the game and ends up pre-ordering will be able to transfer their progress across to the full release.
Swen Vincke, founder of the game’s developer Larian Studios had this to say:
“We’ve done a lot work since launch to make Divinity: Original Sin 2 even better, and Xbox Game Preview will let us discover how we can improve it even further. Our hope is that with the feedback we’ll collect, D:OS 2 – Definitive Edition will become one of the best RPG experiences available across the platforms. The changes and additions in the Definitive Edition are about 45 pages long, and all owners of Divinity: Original Sin will also benefit from these.”
