CES is one of, if not THE biggest consumer electronics show of its kind. Known for being a place where manufacturers go to show off their latest products and innovations to the whole world. However, tonight there was a bit of a mishap at the event and an ironic one at that.
Around 11:20 local time, or 19:20 to those of you in the good old UK like myself, there was a power cut in the central hall at the Las Vegas Convention Centre where CES 2018 is taking place. Attendees were evacuated from the hall for safety reasons whilst staff on site continue to try to fix what is being deemed an isolated power outage.
Who’d have thought it? Possibly the biggest electronics show in the world has no electric.
